Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is for her role as Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she received the Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of being a court reporter. The first time she began modeling was in highschool and eventually gained commercial roles when she moved to New York. She starred in 1981 as an innocent teenager in All My Children. Since then Delaney has appeared in numerous TV dramas and films. She has not had a successful or happy personal life. In the past, this gifted actress was struggling to overcome alcoholism and had two marriages fall apart. In 2005, the actress lost the custody of her son.
