Anushka Singh is a Bollywood actress. She was among the top-paid actresses, and was awarded numerous accolades in recognition of her work. Anushka Sharma was born May 1 1988 in Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh, India to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father, a former colonel is Anushka. The mother of the child is also a homemaker. Karnesh Sharma, Anushka's older brother, has served as an Merchant Navy officer and is now a film producer. Anushka completed her studies at the Army School Bangalore. Mount Carmel College Bangalore granted her a Bachelor of Arts. Anushka is a graduate with a Master in Arts Degree in the field of Economics. Anushka Sharma dreamed of becoming journalist or model and she did not want to be an actor. Anushka made the move to Mumbai after she completed her degree and was enrolled at Elite Model Management, and was groomed by the fashion consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka's debut as a fashion model was in the year 2017, after she modelled for Wendell Rodricks at Lakme Fashion Week followed by being selected by Rodricks to appear at the Spring Summer 2007 collection. Anushka Sharma has participated with a number of campaigns for brands since her Lakme Fashion Week debut. These include campaigns for Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka Sharma along with her modeling career, attended an acting class and began giving auditions for movies. Anushka appeared in an acting role in a film by Shah Rukh Khan opposite Anushka. For her screen test, she refused to perform an impromptu one and took the day off to practice. Later on she was cast in three films for Yash Raj Films. The film in which she starred performed the part of a young bride to a middle-aged male (the part Shah Rukh Khan was playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's 'Badmash Company" together with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. It was met with mixed receptions. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat,' where she played an Punjabi middle-class girl who launched her own venture. It received positive reviews. Anushka's contract to make three films with Yash Raj Films was completed by Band Baaja Baaraat.
